Don't feel too bad about the missed feast. I went while I was in Ireland two years ago. First, they serve potatoes and spare ribs. Second, they give you a bib. Third, their mead is awful. Go ask Matilda for some instead. :) Oh, and the costumes are all acetate-satin-renfair about themselves. Probably still fun if you go into it with the right attitude but after years of hearing how "overseas reenactors are generally more accurate than SCA", I was disappointed.
