I did AVM in college and wear my shirt too (two of the other Program Assistants also did AVM). I assume you did the residential session in high school?

Everything's going ok, survived first year fine, but I kinda squeaked anatomy so I need to go over it during the summer (especially small animal head and large animal limbs). I should also take another look at cardio, renal and acid/base physiology, but other than that I think everything is pretty good.

Having a bit of trouble in the socializing/friends department, there just aren't any geeks at all. The first day we went around the whole class saying something unusual about ourselves and I said that I throw axes (which usually gets a response of "Cool, why?")and the entire circle moved away from me. Definitely not people i'm going to invite to go to the Boston Babydolls with me anytime soon (wow would i not like to explain that one to them). I saw that you're having a hard time too and meant to let you know that it's not just you, vet students seem to just be too "normal", but I got to busy with classes to do more than look at lj. Don't worry too much [livejournal.com profile] ladysprite assured me that she didn't make tons of best best friends in school either (which it feels like everyone else in my class has). I'm lucky to still be near enough Boston to see people occasionally, but feel free to ping me during the year if you're feeling lonely.
