Good Start
May. 20th, 2003 02:11 pmSo yesterday I had an interview to be a vet tech at the animal hospital where
ladysprite works. She was just leaving when I got there and it made me feel much more relaxed to see her and have her yell toward the back that I should be hired. I think it went well and it'd be an awesome opportunity. Even if I don't get it though it was by far the nicest experience I've had trying to get work in the field. They were nice to me and actually got in touch with me after I contacted them without me having to harass them for a month, all around a very pleasant experience and I really hope I get to work there.
Right now I'm waiting to see how my experiment with trying to make challah turns out. I haven't ever made it and it has been so long since I made bread that I'm not sure if I kneaded the dough properly or for the right amount of time. Whatever, I'll know in about an hour how I did, hopefully it'll be edible. I balanced my bank accounts today for the first time since March and they actually worked out to agree fine with the bank. Figured I should pre-register for Pennsic while I still know I have enough cash to do it and I'm all set to be in Quacheri now. For the first time in 6 weeks I have have both time and good enough health to see my chiropractor, my back is very excited.
Tonight is going to be awesome, I'm meeting
shprintzah,
outlander and our friend Andre to go to the Red Sox game. After last night's game the atmosphere is going to be kind of explosive but it should be fun. I've been looking forward to this since we got the tickets at the beginning of April (thank you Simmons and your $20 bleacher seat deals). Well now I'm off to check my garden and decided whether or not to make lemon squares today or save them for tomorrow.
