Stuff

Still loving work, even though Sunday was incredibly slow. Got to leave an hour and a half early because our last appointment was at 3pm and the office is open until 5:30. Forgot to mention it in my last post but never leave vet techs unoccupied for too long. Saturday was slow too and so we took the two rubber chickens that live in the office and set them up in the surgery room. One is hooked up to the anesthesia machine, with a bloody drape and a picture of an ear mite coming out of its stomach, like some weird version of alien. The other chicken has a mask and doctors hat, rubber gloves on its feet and is holding a paper scalpel, it's taped to the table so it looks like it's performing surgery. The room is still that way and we took pictures...we had way way too much fun setting that up Saturday.
Today was nice, I got to sleep in. Then I drove the two hours to Connecticut in the rain to spend three hours with Chad and his family (this was the first time I'd met them, they're really nice). then I spent two hours driving home in the awful weather and traffic to have dinner with my family. even though the driving sucked the day itself was wonderful. Tuesday and Wednesday are my days off right now and I intend to veg out a bit, clean and do some shopping. Hopefully I will also get to spend some time with my friends, cause I really haven't seen anyone since I came home also, of course, I'll be spending some of my time with Chad and my family. My phone's ringing so I'd best go get it.
