Going home
Aug. 29th, 2003 12:18 pmSo I'm now in the frantic throws of cleaning up and packing up for going back to school, or I would be if the task were not so daunting. I never actually got unpacked from school because I started work right away and now I have a huge mess to sort through and clean up, and I have to do it soon, I go back Monday, but my sister moves home (I'll rant about that in a bit) Sunday. I'm so excited to be going back though. first and foremost I miss the city and the easy access to everything. shprintzah like no one would believe, actually most of you all reading this have seen us together and can probably imagine. She and I have not seen each other since August 3rd and are going crazy and racking up huge phone bills. We have decided that we should kidnap a few of our friends for dinner once a month, so beware and forewarned, you never know who'll be next *evil laughter*. My class schedule this semester is not too horrid, with only 3 labs and I'm really excited for school and to get Greenwood Isle really up and running, though I'm a bit nervous about it too. I also am kind of sick of home and my sister.. and now to the promise rant, I don't know how to hide this behind a cut, sorry all.
My sister is just 21 months older than I am and we do not get along well, especially for extended periods of time. She was supposed to move home for the month of July while she was between apartments, what she did not tell my mom is that she gave up her old place without finding a new one. My sister has now been at the house and in my way for 2 months and still doesn't have a new place. Her room is such a mess that she has been sleeping on the main floor in my mom's study, she sleeps late and gets extremely mad if I wake her up. I'll sneak around until about 10:30 or so but then i have things to do and it's unfair that I need to be silent for her. Also the room she's in has the only T.V. in the house that gets good reception and the only T.V. show's I really watch are early in the morning (though lately I've been indulging in the sin of soaps). I can't wait to be away from her, though i pity my mother, because as much as my sister and I argue, it's nothing compared to he and our brother, who is moving back in at the end of September, so glad I'll be back at school.
