My Weekend

So this weekend got off to a rockier start than I had planned. My sweetheart and I were supposed to go out to dinner Friday night and have a quiet evening alone... instead we had a fight. It started while he was at work over IM and then end result was that we got together late Friday night fought a bit, resolved some issues, or at least made some progress and then snuggled up in his bed to watch Shrek on his laptop. Though not my ideal evening the ending was nice and he is now going to do something nice for me and take me to Fire and Ice (cause I haven't been before) plus we're celebrating being together for 6 months by going out to a jazz club tomorrow.
Saturday Morning jpicon and I set out to Stacey's party picking up learnedax on the way cause he had directions and we didn't. It was a nice shower and Stacey got a lot of very nice gifts. After the shower jpicon and I went to help laurion 's ex-house-mates move into their new place. laurion and I were then supposed to go to fire and Ice but he was really tired (which is why he's taking me some other time) so we went out for Cambodian food instead. It was a really nice dinner and I'd never had Cambodian before and discovered that I enjoy it.
Sunday I got up early and laurion drove me to work because he's wonderful (and he wants me to be able to stay over on Saturday nights). Work sucked bunches. We had 5 emergencies during the day and even after convincing a bunch of people to reschedule we didn't get out until an hour after we were supposed too and we didn't ever really have time for lunch breaks. I also left my check there and I'm annoyed at myself cause it's now sitting in my unlocked locker, I trust evryone there but it'll be a week before I can get my $ now. I still don't really like the new weekend doctor and I have to work with her for months. We finally convinced her to see another patient while we were x-raying the one she was working on. She's very slow and didn't realize that we see regular appointments on Sundays not just emergencies, even though she saw them last week. We also got to play "tetris" with an overfilled morgue to try and find room for a 127 lbs. dog that was brought in DOA (and we did make the room but nothing else can die until the crematorium does a pick up cause there is no more freezer room. After work I met shprintzah in Davis for a kidnapping, but that'll be a separate post.
