Home again
Mar. 16th, 2004 07:15 pmIreland was super wonderful fantastic and I loved seeing Sarah again, that being said...I'm really glad to be home. I spent Saturday after getting home just hanging out with my mom. We went to the mall and went shopping, I got a new skirt and some lovely stockings. I went home and got enough sleep for work. Work Sunday was a non-stop run around crazy kind of day but it was fun in it's own tiring way. At one point I was developing X-rays, fixing the CBC machine and running two other blood tests pretty much all at once, it made the day go quickly. After work my mom got my dad from the airport. He was in Philly visiting my Grandma. they found a spot on her lung now, but since she's already having chemo there's not much they can do about it. She's tired but cheerful my dad says. I guess she saying things like "if I'm around for the election" and "it's funny to think about the world going on without me" though. She's 89 and was really hanging on for my Grandpa and now that he's gone I guess she feels at loose ends. She's really looking forward to meeting
laurion if I can get him to come down with me in August so hopefully that'll give her something to strive for.
Yesterday was nice. I got an A on my history mid-term and sat and talked with my girls for a bit. Then I went and saw my boy for the first time in around a week and a half. It was really nice. We had the whole place to ourselves, we ordered Thai food and watched an episode of Cadfael and by 9pm we were both ready for me to go home to get an early start on sleep. I really missed him and it was good to be in his arms again.
Today was a relaxed day. I feel good and happy about my life. It's snowing and beautiful and tomorrow is officially the one year anniversary of
laurion's and my first date. I have friends I adore and a family I love and classes i can handle. Life is pretty good just now.
