The long and winding road
Aug. 25th, 2004 10:31 pmSo tonight was an adventure. It should be counted successful as it ended with ice cream. At 6:30pm my roommates and I had a lovely dinner together. Around 7pm I looked-up the directions for Melville Keep, I don't know how to get to 93 from my house so I decided to use mapquest for a different route (bad idea). shprintzah, K. and I got in the car and tried to get where we were going.
We went down route 9, turned onto Heath St and then were totally unable to find Columbia Ave/ MA 28S, I don't think it exists there to be honest. We turned around, we then found out that the street had become one way in the direction we weren't going awhile back. We turned around again.
We got onto route 9 east somehow, followed it home and tried to pick-up 28S at Kenmore Square, we ended up on Soldier's Field Road. We found our way to 90, then 95 and finally 93. We got off at the wrong exit, it was 9pm. We called it a night and headed back-up 95 North. We pulled off in Wellesley for ice cream at the White Mountain Creamery and went home. not the evening we had plan but it's own kind of fun none the less. I'm sure we'll get to Melville Keep on day.
