No longer nameless
Jun. 19th, 2006 05:04 pmWe've finally named the kitten. Her name is Myristica and we're calling her Tica (pronounced Teaka) for short. Myristica fragrans is the plant that nutmeg and mace come from and she's sweet and spicy. She and Ozy are beginning to like each other. Her worst habit right now is attacking my feet around 5am and waking me, other than that the cats are lovely.
In other news I'm really enjoying my job. Both college sessions are over and we've started middle school (I'm a program assistant for Tufts Adventures in Veterinary Medicine, kind of like a veterinary camp counselor). It's fun, though I connected better with the college kids than I seem to be with the middle schoolers. It's neat to be working with people who want to be vets someday and think that I'm really cool for being on my way.
