So most of my spring break has been spent cleaning my apartment for this weekend (instead of catching up on sleep or work, but whatever the place really needed a thourough cleaning). This weekend was beautifully planned [livejournal.com profile] pinkalicat was coming for a sleepover Friday night and my parents were coming for dinner Saturday night. Things went mostly as planned.

The sleepover was awesome, we watched stand up comedy and ate really excellent pizza (chicken with roasted red peppers and caramelized onions, yummy) with [livejournal.com profile] kararm and [livejournal.com profile] laurion and then listened to some Da Vinci's Notebook. [livejournal.com profile] laurion still seemed under the weather but said he was mostly ok. the next morning I got up and made (with [livejournal.com profile] kararm and [livejournal.com profile] pinkalicat helping ) crepes (flavored with armagnac donated by my mother) and bacon and homemade cocoa, a lovely snowy morning breakfast. After breakfast I put [livejournal.com profile] pinkalicat on the T and came home. [livejournal.com profile] laurion was feeling awful and ended up spedning the next 20 hours or so alseep in my bed, while I occasionally harassed him to drink something or take meds.

I had a lovely dinner with my parents who brought me some nice wine and a very pretty tiny rosebush. Things went well but would have been nicer if my sweetie had been well enough to get out of bed. The poetry book I ordered for my mother for her birthday next month came from e-bay and she is delighted.

This morning [livejournal.com profile] laurion was well enough for me to drop him at the T on my way to work, but spent all day in bed again and I am worrying long distance as I always do. Work was uneventful but not so slow as to drag too much. I should go do work now but will probably just watch the rest of footloose and go to bed.

Break is too short.
