I wish I could say I was outraged and shocked, but it's a freaken Catholic school for crying out loud. Mother church never exactly been friendly to the gay community. Perhaps the only thing that makes me angry is that it's legal for it to happen. That in a public school that girl would have every legal right to go to prom, but because it's a religous (private) school that somehow they get to be above the law and can pull that, and not get sued.

I'm saddened that someone so young had to go through the drama of all that, when all she really wanted was to go to the prom and be a princess for the evening - like all her friends.
