So we're working on a name for our kitty and I thought I'd solicit suggestions. Kitty is large, sweet, polydactyl and has an amazingly loud purr and a high pitched meow. Also kitty is a boy and hasn't shown himself to be super smart and is quite goofy. We've already discarded: Rugen, Leonidas, Fezik, Ludo, Titan, Hemingway, Nyambe and whole myriad of mythical names and giants. We tried to think of famous gentle giants and failed. Also does the rock biter in Neverending story have an actual name besides rock biter? Cause kitty's kinda like that. We're also considering Moxie. His picture is still up on the shelter site http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/metrowesthumane.html (we're not keeping the name Mistoffelees, obviously, it just doesn't fit him)

(note: Just cause I'm asking for help does not mean we'll actual pick any of the suggestions but I figure having more brains working on it would be good)

He sounds like an Elmer or a Buster to me.

I take that back - He's not fluffy or chubby enough for those names. Apache,as in Apache Chief? Bruce (The Hulk's gentle ego), Bryce? I dunno

Unfortunately, given the adjectives of large and sweet, my mind immediately went to 'Everlasting Gobstopper.' Not the best kitty-name, though.

Do you remember the name of the giant strong-man from 'The Adventures of Baron Munchausen?' Or, heck, you could just name him Baron Munchausen. Though that might be asking for trouble.....

I think he kind of looks like a Simon. Or perhaps Sydney. Like Sydney Carton, the insolent alcoholic from "A Tale of Two Cities" who eventually makes the most profound sacrifice.
