Exams, spring and me

I took my last anatomy test Monday. It will take two weeks at least before it gets graded. It was hard but as long as I passed the test then I've passed the course. I'm so glad to be done with it, I refuse to think about the remote chance of having to retake it (and the year). I have a pathology test on the 18th and then for the first time since February I'll have a week without an exam, actually I get two. I'm so excited and I've got things planned. It's sunny and I can explain the pathophysiology of hepatomegaly as it relates to diabetes mellitus and the pathophysiology of heptic encephalopathy off the top of my head, and they make sense to me. I really wish I got a grade for problem based learning.
I'm finding, for the first time ever, that instead of doing well on tests and then having trouble with recall and integration, I'm bombing my tests but I can apply and integrate concepts ok. I'm hoping to pass this year ok and it seems like I'm beginning to figure out how to take tests properly so I guess it's ok. The recall and integration are going to be what is of practical importance to me, as long as I can figure out the tests enough to get my DVM, afterall.
For the first summer since I started doing clinic summer of softmore year of college I will not be stuck inside most of the week, I will have weekends off and I'll be working normal hours. this means I can wear sandals, my fun summer clothing and best of all I can see my friends. I plan to go to Greenwood Isle picnic, MayDay and hopefully GNE at the very least.
laurion and i will have a cookout sometime this summer. I want to go to the beach and we've been discussing trying to pull together an outing with friends, which may actually materialize the end of next month. Except for basal levels of test stress and grade anxiety I find I'm feeling happy and hopeful. It's really nice. Of course
laurion's family is having Easter with mine this weekend so we'll see how intact my good mood is after dinner Sunday :).
