Yesterday was absolutely lovely. Woke up earlish to a cat purring on me. Got up and dressed and [livejournal.com profile] laurion and I headed to church. Service was excellent, it covered renewal of life/spring, passover and Easter pretty seemlessly and smootly. The sermon was called "How to Betray Easter" and was mostly a messgae of love and acceptance.

After church we went to my parents' house and lazed around a bit while my mom made dinner. I was drafted into helping set up the table and we eventually figured out a way for 11 adults to sit at a table that can't really take more than 10. [livejournal.com profile] laurion's family all showed up around 3 and we sat and chatted until dinner at 4. amazingly everything went really really well. My mom, being of the "it's not enough unless it's too much" school of feeding people really outdid herself. We had lamb (with option of lamb gravy and/or mint jelly) and ham (accompanied by raisin sauce and/or mustard), spaetzle, asparagus(with melted butter), corn, lima beans and homemade pickles. My dad made strawberry shortcake (with regular and brandied strawberries available). The mothers had conspired to make really nice Easter baskets with candy and non-candy items (I know have an egg ornament, soap and some flower seeds).

After dinner we came home where I collapsed and then studdied and [livejournal.com profile] laurion went out to do some planning for BSCF's upcoming LARP weekend (April 28th-30th).
